How frugal are you, you ask. “This monitor is fine,” I answer.

It works fine after the tantrum ends. Been doing it for over a year now. I refuse to replace it until it is fully borked.

Man that shits fully borked as is

Mine does the exact same thing lol, been this way for a few years now but after letting “warm up” for about 10-15 mins it’s as good as new.

I’ve got a redmi note 9 pro that does this, but it dissapears only if the screen turns off and on, the only reason I still have it is that it is fully ported to Ubuntu Touch, everything on it works.

If you are really frugal then learn how to fix the issue by following Youtube videos. Or just find one on FB marketplace.

There may be a simple fix, like a loose ribbon connector inside the monitor. If it gets any worse, I would suggest a peek inside.

There is a difference between frugal and cheap.

Free northern lights, what is there to complain about?

“I can see 1 frame every 30 seconds. It’s still playable”

Wow wtf my impatient ass would think it’s fully borked and wouldn’t wait to see what would happen if I had just waited.

This baby renders 1 frame an hour. Beat that!

Cap at 60hz, raise brightness to max, lower to 50% after about 5 minutes. Unironically how I keep my busted phone screen operable

  12. I’ve got one that takes ~5min to warm up. Another that goes full oldschool static for ~3min ‘somtimes’. Still going like this for 6mo! Both started doing this at the same time though, which is weird. Both old.

monitors do that if they are too cold as well.

I’ve had the same cheap $9 Walmart wallet for a little over 15 years
