Doesn’t matter. People will buy it in droves anyway and Nvidia will keep this product strategy going until it either stops making them money (it won’t) or they face actual competition (there is none).

why would anyone upgrade from 4080. its best value today especially cheaper used.

Yes, a 4090 on a 2nd had market is a good idea people. Mine most likely waits for a new happy owner.

It’s a shame if true. Was going to upgrade to a potential 5090 but after hearing rumours about that $2000+ price tag, I think I’ll wait until Nvidia can give my a tangible, reasonably priced upgrade.
