What rank are you at and what rank is your friend at?

you might have over 10k points. the system for teaming up is you can’t have somebody 2 ranks below you, and 10k points counts as another rank in that system, leaving only legendary players for you to team up with. if not, invite player to public match and then switch to ranked with you both in the lobby, that worked for me usually.
