Call of Duty: Zombies

why does nobody pronounce this correctly?

I’ll be the first to admit that for the longest time I called it the “Vitrolic Withering”. And so does everybody else seemingly. Any video I’ve ever seen that mentions the gun pronounces it that way, even though there’s an i after the r. It’s supposed to be pronounced vi-tri-olic not vit-rolic. How did we all come to collectively ignore a letter? It took me a long time to realise what it actually said, has anybody else come to this realisation?

I’ve never heard anyone say it the way you mentioned? I think you’ve just been misreading it.

I’ll admit I’ve been saying it through wrong way this entire time and so do all of my zombies friends. Probably my shitty TV I had when I played bo2? Thanks for sharing

I say Vit (like zit but a v) tra (almost like draw with a t) lick withering

I know this isn’t how it should be pronounced but it’s easy to say for me

It’s usually German map and wonder weapon names that I see people mispronounce.

    “der reeze”

    “wonder woff”

“Vitriol” is sulfuric acid. vitriolic basically means acidic.

You usually hear it in a metaphorical context, like “her vitriolic behavior” meaning toxic or hateful. so kinda a double meaning.
