Was playing this morning and got kicked in the middle of the game. After that, games starting taking 10+ minutes to connect to a match. After some online searching, I checked my Activision account and found this.

You might have received this if you were cheating.

Because of a potential violation, duh. Says so right there.

Welcome to be being shadow banned! Once you get SB it’s hard to get out and your account is now prone to being stuck in the loop. For instance after your 7 day SB your account will be back to normal but a few reports can trigger your account to be put back into a shadow ban. Or you get lucky and this happens only once

  5. Were you playing purgatory? Everyone you kills is going to report you. All those reports combined with a high kill game, instant shadow ban. Activision is too lazy to actually implement a decent system so they just automate everything and waste a week of your time. If you were actually cheating, you’d be banned completely. This system is garbage and they need to fix or remove it.

The anti-cheat doesn’t do anything to actually get cheaters, for the most part. This is the result of people reporting you. In fact, it could be one or two people consistently spam reporting you because they were just upset you killed them. It’s a sucky system, but it’s what’s in place. This doesn’t actually have anything to do with your being suspected of cheating by the game.
