Personally never really cared about Chaos and still think it’s beyond stupid that Treyarch planned to start the Chaos story while also ending Aether story in the same game. BO4 should have been all about ending the Aether story, with the game after that starting Chaos.
Also just sucks how the ending of the Aether story was clearly rushed.

I love bi4 so much, the new systems were different but bit bad, the maps are amazing. I mean my top four of all time is ae, dotn, ix and voyage. Great ee designs, lot of side ee’s, gauntlets, rush mode, etc. I love everything about it

Demanding 3arc to make Blackout instead of a campaign, knowing that IW was working on WZ at the same time and putting every possible monetization system in the game (Season Pass, Lootboxes, Store Bundles, Battle Passes) was awful. Those choices combined with the plagued launch and the hate bandwagon of the BO3 glazers destroyed the game reputation.

I absolutely hated this game when it came out. That being said, nowadays it has grown on me A LOT. Its still got its flaws and ultimately im still not happy with the 50/50 split of chaos and aether (especially how lack luster the aether maps are for the most part) i did find a new appreciation for chaos though. I think chaos where by far the best maps we got that season, its just a shame they introduced it while attempting to conclude the aether story when honestly i think it should’ve ended at rev in BO3. All in all its not my favorite but i do replay it more and more has the years have passed cuz there was a ton of effort in all the maps (even the remakes) those maps have a level of detail we still have yet to achieve since this game came out

I stopped playing it before the dlc. Recently went back to it because it was on sale and it’s honestly not that bad. It basically feels like bo3 2 with some different mechanics that personally don’t ruin the experience. It feels much closer to “original zombies” than the newer titles imo so it’s pretty refreshing to play.

I felt like it had such a great personality and was able to get over the gameplay differences in zombies pretty fast. BOD was also my first easter egg I ever completed and still think it is one of the most epic ones they’ve done. Blackout was also great as I loved landing in the zombie areas and thought the way they implemented zombies into it was great. 2018-2019 was really a lot of fun

Interesting idea and some cool maps, but also horrible gameplay systems and some half-baked reinaginings. Pair that with a bad multiplayer and no campaign, and you have one of the worst games in the entire series.
There’s still some cool stuff going on in it, and there’s still fun to be had, but nostalgia, regrets and what-ifs don’t change the reality of what it is.

Still don’t like the perk system, all the perks lacked personality, and it makes a lot of the game feel like another horde mode with the same characters. Along with how they handle zombie spawns and despawns, I felt like if you weren’t on them all the time, they would despawn and respawn right infront of you.

For zombies I’d say underrated. Chaos maps other than voyage were amazing for me, but the other maps being all remakes makes them a little disappointing. But classified, alpha and tag is still consider good maps

I started as a hater but I group it in as the “good ones” now. Story plot for Chaos was a little all over but decent I just loved the different aesthetic we saw on the Chaos side. I hate all the rarity and load outs we get now. But the ultimate weapons were fun and didn’t detract from the challenge too much.

It’s a good game. People get hung up on the stories, rightfully so because that’s what most people on the sub are here for and those that played the game, but when you focus on the game itself it’s an enjoyable experience.
