Sam Walton was alive when that game was sold. The prohibition had just ended. That receipt is worth serious money.

  2. Back when receipts were full of preservatives like the good Lord intended. For real tho, how the hell has that thing survived all this time??

I still got this and Samurai Legend Musashi today 2024

    Brave since 2003-2005 (not sure)

    Samurai (2005-2008) not sure

I remember playing that as a kid every time I visited family. Would honestly love to play it now that I’m an adult that can comprehend much more.

Keep the Game and play it and find someone else after you who would want it (take care of the disc)!!!

I love this game. Some of the jokes/nuances are just clever. I mean, the kingdom of “All U Can Eat” with characters named after food?? Brilliant.

I need to finish this game, I was too young to really appreciate it

did it really cost $44 in 1998? thats expensive is it not?

  9. Dieing_Breed

  10. Correct_End_6461

I like how there’s no tax on that .

I love that game. One of the best on PSOne. “Season’s Greetings”…it’s almost 26 years old.

Honestly, when I worked at Walmart 18+ ya if you made a ruckus about returning something, the supervisors would let you return anything lmao I’ve seen them take a 10 yo Christmas tree back. Just go to the counter and act ignorant and angry asf, they might cosign.

Damn 1998 is crazy to have a receipt for that long

  13. This is favorite game. Love it and still have my copy.

I’m shocked the ink is still on the receipt. That’s impressive. Also, 9yr old me loved that game, even though I couldn’t get up the mountain, after the forest puzzle part.

That receipt was printed on my 4th birthday.

I remember watching my older brother play through this and playing bits and pieces of it myself. You just took me back, thanks.

FUN FACT: $44,96 in 1998 would be $**86.73 today**.

And you kids think games are expensive *now?* Nowhere near as expensive as they were then (and before). This wasn’t even standard price, most AAA PS1 games were $49.99.

Hell, I paid $49.99 for Mega Man 2 in 1989 out of my own pocket with my lawn mowing money. Adjusted for inflation that game cost me **$126.80**.

Think a PS5 is too expensive? I paid $199.99 for my NES in 1987. Adjusted for inflation that’s **$553.46**. For a system that came with Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt…two great games but I mean, not exactly story driven content there lol. A system where virtually every game was equivalent in difficulty to a modern *Souls* game lol. A system where the max resolution was 320×240 at 30fps and most games fucking laughed at that 30fps trust me.

I aint saying it’s necessarily a good thing that games cost so much today, dont get me wrong, all Im saying is as an old fart this shit has always been this way, and for what you get in exchange, it’s not even close.

  18. I bought it because Final Fantasy 7 was my first Final Fantasy game, and I assumed 8 was a sequel.

In retrospect I don’t think I ever even played the demo for 8, just spent all that time playing Brave Fencer Musashi.
