Today, PUBG released update 32.1, and the result has been disastrous for players in South America. By merging North American and South American servers, ping levels have skyrocketed to unacceptable levels, often hitting 180ms or more. For those playing from Argentina, Uruguay, and the southern states of Brazil, the experience has become nearly unplayable. Frustration and disappointment are evident in almost every lobby and stream, with players voicing their concerns over this change.
To make matters worse, the migration of item inventories from Steam to the PUBG inventory was done without any consultation with players. Many of us would have preferred the option to keep our items in Steam, even if it meant potential delays in delivery, but that choice was taken away from us.
In summary, update 32.1 couldn’t be more disastrous. This decision shows a complete lack of respect for the South American community, nearly marking the end of the gaming experience for many of us. It's time for PUBG to listen to its players and reconsider these changes.
