[COD] CONCEPT // Call of Duty: Prestige Edition

Welcome to Call of Duty: Prestige Edition, a proof-of-concept that I’ve been working on. It is essentially a ‘Halo: Master Chief Collection’ for Call of Duty, reviving BO, BO2, MW, MW2, MW3, and WAW. The games are not ‘remastered’ as such, more so ‘revived’. They are labelled as ‘Redux’ and it allows for fixes (like MW2’s One Man Army or WAW’s Wunderwaffe-Jug glitch), and allows for each title to receive their respective cut content. Each game would be available and fully restored in their own right, but all run within the ‘Call of Duty: Redux Launcher’, which is a classic/game-only version of the COD HQ launcher. Let’s break down some overall details:

GAMEPLAY

  • Trophies/Achievements can be earn in Campaign, Multiplayer, Spec-Ops and Zombies.
  • Each primary and secondary weapon now has its own ‘Weapon Inspection’ animation.

SETTINGS

  • This game, along with the other ‘Call of Duty: Redux’ titles, now support cross-play to allow online play with other devices.
  • Similar to the newest ‘Call of Duty’ entries, any of the ‘Call of Duty: Redux’ titles has the ability to uninstall particular files for each game.
  • Game files will be stored per game as: Campaign Pack, Multiplayer Pack 01 (Original Content), Multiplayer Pack 02 (DLC and Bonus Content), Spec-Ops Pack (if applicable), and Zombies Pack (if applicable).

USER INTERFACE

  • The game will be located inside the ‘Call of Duty: Redux’ launcher. This allows for cross-game compatibility with storage management, game settings, player level progression, and creating custom games using assets from various titles.
  • The main UI has been updated to keep inline with the visual identity which was seen in ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered’.

CONTENT

  • Content that was previously cut from the original games have been restored. This comes with new levels, weapons, dialogue etc. These new weapons will also be available within ‘Multiplayer’.

COOPERATIVE

  • All ‘Campaign’ modes have been fine tuned and now supports up to four players (online and local split screen) in the ‘Cooperative Campaign’ mode.
  • The ‘Call of Duty: Redux’ launcher gives the option for the campaign to be played chronologically with the other ‘Redux’ campaigns.

The fact that this is all the golden age cods makes this concept even better Microsoft would definitely want Activision to make it with these games and they like remasters so it’s definitely possible
