preordering blindly from hype is the problem, it’s fine if you know for sure what you’re getting.
I preordered Metaphor ReFantazio after 12 hours playing the prologue demo, can’t wait for friday

If only people could take responsibility for their own actions and say, “Aight, this ones on me for preordering, let’s move on with life.”
But noo. It’s easier to go on Reddit and complain about it…
It’s not like anyone is forcing us to preorder or even buy games in the first place.

There are only 2 games thus far that I have / will preorder.
1.) Dragonball Sparking Zero
2.) Gothic Remake
Anything else is hard pass. If I don’t see a good track record or deep involvement with the community that shows that the devs give a sht I won’t preorder. Soulless games series like COD, BF, AC etc. will never see a pre order from me ever.
From what I can gather SH2Remake seem to be a good game, it just has technical issues with some setups, which presumably get fixed somewhat early, so maybe your example isn’t the best, there are games that are genuinely garbage which got prerdered, such as concord or anthem (lol).
It’s similair to RE4 remake. it’s a great game, it just had bad technical issues which will get fixed later on. RE4 went from unplayable mess to great performing on even the steam deck, on release it was a massive VRAM hog.

It’s all good to say “don’t preorder” but then when a game releases people show day 1 player count as a measure of success, which means you have to preorder
FantasticWhisper
Very seldom preorder.
The last three all ended up being great so far: against the storm, hades 2 and baldurs gate 3.
Sometimes you just want to support a studio.

JosebaZilarte
But you get a digital artbook (that you will never download)!!
koordy
Then simply return it. You’ve got full 2h of playtime for that.

I don’t think the game is unplayable.

but yeah, people complain about it and keep pre ordering games lol.

Lol everyone seems to have their exceptions, for pretty much every single notable game, so I doubt it will ever stop. I see people saying “yeah no pre ordering! …except for this franchise that I pre order for”
ChinaBot667
I’m playing the sh2 remake now and it’s got some annoying stutter and a few graphic issues like flickering, but it’s far from unplayable so far. Granted I’ve only got 2 hours in and I’ve. Only made it to the apartments, but nothing close to unplayable

If those who pre-order could read, they’d be upset!
