  1. Correction: Dont place your tempered glass case on the floor, but rather on the desk or somewhere else, where its elevated.

  2. SoDrunkRightNow4

I always see posts showing the broken glass. I never see posts explaining how the glass got broken.

  3. Material_Tax_4158

No, Dont put your case on tile,If it was carpet you wouldn’t have any problems =)

Stone floor and glass is a stupid idea – even for non-tempered glass. And also not great for acoustics either.

  6. Impossible_Okra

I feel like this is a great business opportunity for

    Safelight repair, safelight replace

Replace your windshields and your PC case glass in one trip.

Tiles? Never buy a home with tile floors. Or never buy a case with tile floors because houses are just human cases lol.

Well now you know why PC on the ground is a bad idea if you have tile floors.

  8. KayfabeAdjace

hurr durr tile hurr durr glass’s fault

  9. Saturn_is_the_answer

Good luck trying to find a case without tempered glass

  10. Ancient_Volume8627

Correction. Do research before placing your tempered glass near tile.

  11. Greennit0

So does the glass fall to the floor or does this happen when it’s mounted to the case? Still don’t get how this is happening so often.

  12. Clean_Perception_235

  13. Merman101

  14. Broken tempered glass and tile floor, name a more iconic duo

  15. MotherSithis

I got a free xl gaming mouse pad (the soft kind) that I used as a mini computer carpet when mine had to be on the floor.

Just a tip for anyone who might need their setups on ground level!

  16. SpecialMango3384

Just don’t put it in tile floor!!

  17. Smooth-Ad2130

I’ve had tempered glass for 12 or so years and 5 moves, not a single break. What are you guys doing?

  21. Noticing a pattern here. One man post a broken glass, another one gets cursed by it.

What kind of unholy curse y’all been passing around here?

  22. mongini12

Tempered glass cases for 8 years now, not a single one broken, even tho I bumped my wheels off my chair into it multiple times… It’s possible. Source: trust me bro

  23. Meddlingmonster

I have had 4 and my desk is also tempered glass, this is a you problem.

  24. Hour_Ad5398

  25. Competitive_Lack1845

Ive owned multiple cases with tempered glass and this hasn’t happened, looks like user error

  26. Cancer_dancer1

Am stupid, what exactly causes the glass to crack?

  27. I work with glass for a living and you guys must be doing something really wrong with your computers to do this.

I manhandle my side panel, let it out on weekends and late nights, never explodes.

  28. ObscuraGaming

Man what is wrong with you guys? There are PC desks where you can place the PC AWAY FROM THE GROUND. I’m starting to think these ppl do it on purpose lmao

  29. Wow look, it’s on tile, how could we have foreseen this

  30. katiecharm

I don’t fucking understand.  This gets posted nearly EVERY. DAY.

How are people not aware of this yet?  And no surprise, TILE IN THE PHOTO

  31. Mundee9540

Like it’s even possible to do nowadays. Every case shoves down a tempered glass sidepanel down your gullet, unless you’re willing to buy landfill.

  32. mingomango123

Another victim of the tiles 🫡 rip glass

  33. BariNgozi

    Skill issue

I’ve had my case with tempered glass side panels for years now without incident.

All it takes are SOFT surfaces to put them on to be cleaned, and an occasional scroll through this sub to remember what to never do.
