CS:GO

[GabeFollower] Until we get official confirmation, everything should be considered rumor and speculation. CS2 devs have postponed some content that wasn’t ready, including a capsule with new agent patches and a map rotation with a few community maps and official map overhauls (including Arms Race).

  1. They could explain publicly, so it is cash crab for now 🤣

  2. Someone at Valve has had train on their to do list for a year now.

i saw “agent” and I thought maybe map-based factions back but welp.

    cl_minmodel 1 pls thank you.

so all together would have been an operation maybe

What’s with the recent upsurge of content creators bending over backwards to brown nose a multibillion dollar company which makes over $1B a year from arguably predatory and unregulated gambling, while delivering far less content than small indie studios?

  7. HANAEMILK

No way Valve devs actually worked on something that wasn’t a cash grab

Btw this is what happens when the community bitches and moans when we don’t get content drops every week. Valve rush updates to try to calm the waters which only makes things worse.

    Ok..

Then why did they release this absolutely awful battlepass wannabe. It was not “required” right now.

We were doing just fine with no content whatsoever for now..

Does anyone think that maybe why we’re not getting gameplay changes is because we all got mad when they change shit right before a major and this major is the first in china with perfect world and might be really important for them, for it to go at least predictable instead of having to work overtime and deal with more community backlash?

They did this because it’s right before the major and they wanted to extend the hype from the skins.

Favorite player uses XYZ skin or charm or sticker and the price of the skin sky rockets as people try and gamble to get it.

Do we think valve is working on other things than the cash grab? Probably. It would be naïve to think valve isn’t, but the optics of CS2 right now is cooked. We know valve is radio silent (except for deadlock they actually communicate about that game) but right now they just need to bite the bullet and give us a forecast. Then go back to radio silent as per valve usual.

The primary focus should have been an anti cheat before releasing content that forces you to play the game. Hell, anti cheat should have been the primary focus before the game released and should have never released without one. If they wanted game data, release CS2 in beta for a year and keep CSGO as the primary game until CS2 is ready.

I understand that Valve has a bonus system where the devs get a bonus if content is released. Given that this game was not ready, this screams bad culture at Valve. No one should have received any bonus.

Furthermore, given the bad taste the community already has for Valve, if the operation wasn’t ready, they shouldn’t have released this update. This screams cash grab.
