Vanguard is hated? I just blindly played it and it seems fun, just takes some learning.

Vanguard.
MWZ launched more complete and had way more to do than Vanguard. MWZ actually had me wanting to play more than 1 game.

Anyone saying MWZ is worse than VGZ is just blindly hating and/or hasn’t played the game at all. At its core, VG is fundamentally flawed because it is a bad attempt at combining round-based and Outbreak elements. MWZ is purely taking Outbreak elements and putting it in the DMZ sandbox, which is already solid at its core. Its only problem is a lack of decent post-launch content.

I think they did something unique with MWZ in it’s gameplay and worked overall if you could get passed it not being round based. While the story isn’t great I like some of the characters like Ava Jenson and Ravenov coming back. Had some great cinematic cutscenes as well.
Vanguard was fine but was a downgrade from Cold War, Shi no numa was pretty good. I could just never get on board with the elder gods and their story. Some of their voices were horribly done and they were more acting annoying/quirky than coming off as Elder Gods to me atleast.
