AYou need to get into the BIOS. Press Del/F2 key during startup (or whatever button the listed motherboard uses) and find the boot devices in the bios. Make sure that whatever drive you have Windows installed on lists as a boot device. Type your problem into chatgpt and have it walk you through the debugging.

  2. Unplug all usb devices and see if it boots. The motherboard is reporting one of your USB devices has over current.

check the USB slots for damage, and look for liquid damage too.

Pop open the case and look for the USB headers on the motherboard. Something may be connected to the internal headers and malfunctioning.

One of your USB devices (or USB ports) is drawing way too much power.

    Bought at Jean Coutu?

I had this happen twice. Both times were a faulty micro USB cable from Logitech.

So if it’s not the USB port, or USB device, try different USB cables

Everyone else has provided helpful advice for troubleshooting this, I’ll add a little context about the USB devices it says are connected. The hubs are likely internal, representing the ports in the back and your front panel header. And some keyboards and mice show as multiple devices to enable macros and shortcuts.

I had this before and it was the usb-c connection on the board.

For me I had this problem when my wire was torn try plugging out each one and see which is the issue

I had a USB hub in a monitor cause this on my PC.

unplug all usb devices, see if it boots then

if it does, plug them in one by one and see which one makes it show that message again – then you know what’s causing it

Edit: Unless you have dog-slow memory, you forgot to enable XMP!

Any usb that’s not a keyboard or mouse can be removed. Otherwise if you have nothing you care about just reinstall windows.

What I haven’t seen posted yet, is if it doesn’t boot without any devices plugged in. I’d probably trace whatever plug that feeds it to the motherboard and unplug that and see what happens. Unless everything is in the I/O of your Mobo.

Your brother may have inserted a non-usb device in a USB port, causing a short somewhere.

I had this come up when I built a new PC. Turns out the front USB ports of the case (nothing plugged into them, empty ports) were causing the issue.

Must have been a short in the cable or ports causing it but, unplugging the ports from the motherboard solved the issue for me.

  17. Lil bro caused a short circuit somewhere. Either by spilling something or jamming something.

Clean all the ports out. Observe any damage those pins can be very small.

This happened all at once and will likely go away all at once as well.

Once you’re on that screen, press “Y” then enter.

  19. It’s a simple fix. You’re going to have to replace your brother for a new model. That one is faulty and is causing boot issues on your PC.

    Hope this helps.
