I reckon Bethesda should do a DLC where dragons invade Tamriel…but with a twist! The dragons only communicate through interpretative dance, confusing everyone.

I like Bethesda’s horror themed DLCs, though. Point Lookout is pretty great(even though that was like, the 4th DLC for Fallout 3). And Shattered Space looks pretty good, too.

  3. Tbf, it’s usually their best DLC. Far Harbor and Dawnguard are fire.

And I’m so pumped about it. Can’t wait for Shattered Space

Near halloween and frankly they’re usually good.

Shattered space looks interesting tbh, may play it depending on users feedback but I liked the trailer

Tribunal, Knights of the Nine, Operation Anchorage.

Horror typically works for them because it lets them distract people from how bad the writing in their games typically is. They make great settings, with terribly written characters, in terribly written stories.

Also let’s not call Dawnguard “horror”. Some non-threatening vampires, in a game that already had vampires, hardly qualifies as “horror”. Nothing horrific, scary, or spooky happens. You barely even interact with the vampires outside of “muh goth waifu NPC follower”. The vampires in Dawnguard, or Skyrim as a whole, are about as threatening as dragons in Skyrim are – not at all.

As many issues as I have with Bethesda, their representation of horror (specifically cosmic horror) is always done in a great way. I love that it’s the one thing that they always keep no matter the game.

    I mean…

It’s what they do best. Though… I wouldn’t really call Dawnguard horror themed.

    And TBH:

I’m kinda excited for Shattered Space.

When they described it as being like FEAR:

    **Sold.**

is it horror when your character is packed with OP superpowers?

I respect the meme but I’m pretty sure the only Bethesda game where the 1st DLC could be considered true horror-themed is FO4’s Far Harbor. At least until Shattered Space releases for Starfield.

The Horse Armor DLC was pretty scary conceptually, tho.

Operation: Anchorage and Automaton aren’t horror related. Hell Horse Armor was first for Oblivion but even if you disregard that idk if id call Shivering Isles “horror”

Consistently the best parts of their games imo. Itching to play Fallout 4 again just for Far Harbor.
