  1. Office could look good with rain too, rain would cover only 25-35% of the entire map and there are not much places where it rains that could reflect anything at all, since walls are made out of bricks and bricks arent made of a material that will reflect everything.

Office is one of my most favourite maps, first one is the winter militia (gosh it looks so beautiful with that night skybox, calm winter atmosphere and calm indoor atmosphere), office is on the second place and aztec & ancient take the third place (i am in love with aztec culture + rainforest atmosphere), and i also can't forget to include insertion2 for it's autumn school days atmosphere.

Rain would add that "cozy october evening" feeling to office, office looks really comfy with it's soft walls, old furniture and a bit of simplicity in building style

Just imagine sitting inside the T-spawn on those soft couches while rain lightly hits the windows behind you, that will make you fall asleep in under 5 minutes

I might be an enjoyer of rain, but I also love snow, and office would look absolutely amazing if gameplay would take place during a snow storm

  2. Interesting fact – in Russian language (and probably other eastern Slavic langauges as well) – instead of "sunshower" we call it "mushroom rain" (грибной дождь/gribnoy dozhd). The rain is called "mushroom rain" because, according to folk legend, mushrooms grow well after such a warm and not heavy rain.

  3. The US south east is famous for weird fun saying and one of my favorites is when there is a sum shower they say the devil is beating his wife

  4. If that's your kind of game, I recomand you to play Hollow knight, there's a part of the map called "city of tears" that you'll love if you like the rainy ambiance

  5. Man it’s seems so weird to me that rain and fog are enough to make a map “not fit for competitive”

It’s like canceling a football/baseball over a light shower. Working around challenges are a challenge/skill of it’s own.

  6. This is a very great watch waiting for the nuke queue to pop up. I really enjoyed watching this, keep it up bro!

  7. I did not know that a little rain on a sunny day is called a SUNSHOWER. Actually made my day 🙏

  8. even then, i feel like catering to the "competitiveness" of maps isn't really all that interesting… it could be fun and cool to play night maps where it is part of the gameplay to not be able to see very well, or rainy maps that would cover the sound of enemies in the game. that'd for sure keep you on your toes

  9. 5:45 I strongly disagree, I think a I know a way how to implement heavy rain with good visibility.

You can make some kind of indoor map: a hotel, museum, an appartment complex; with a lot of windows so you can clearly see that the weather is quite wet outside, or a closed indoor Metro, which is getting slitghly flooded

If you still want make a outdoors rainy map, I would like to suggest some kind of Neon-city vibe, like Kong-King from TF2. You are not going to loose a lot of visibility when literally every corner is lighted with quantillion neon ad boards and signboards

I hope I did inspire and gave someone an idea of what the want to create

  10. Always thought CS would be cool with flashlights and/or nvgs. A dark rainy night would be a great setting for that

  11. imagine cs2 operation with cool story and bigger maps smth like cod modern warfares with rain and at night/evening I would give everything to experience that

  12. When csgo upgrades to source2 the maps will have dynamic weather, the mappers wont even need to account for it

  13. really hate when the competiveness ruined the fun of this game, and what is more stupid is that cs2 dont even have a proper server browser still.
the two cs2 rainy map is beautiful.

  14. When we think of a place, we usually think of it in dry, sunny environment. This is more or less what most people think we have to imagine something. But it doesn't have to be the only norm. Especially for games. We can add seasons, weather (like snow and rain). Add different times as well. Night, morning. Yes, it's not something "normal" or what we usually see in counterstrike but the game has been out for a long time and we don't see anything regarding it. Even a couple of maps for casual game would be good enough for most. Many people say that it's not competitive anymore. But
    1) all the players will experience the same thing
    2) you are the one who is selecting the maps – if your computer isn't powerfull enough or you simply dont wanna, then dont, but make it an option. The cs (all together) has been out for like 20 years? and we are experiencing the same problems and the lack of content.
