Just outside the New Vegas Strip you can find the delightful place that is freeside. Roaming the streets you can find many different characters from hired guns, drug dealers and even escorts. Most of which are friendly enough but one random encounter you may face teaches you not to trust anyone in the wasteland. A stranger waving their hand as a call for help swiftly changes when they reveal they have lead you in to an ambush. These freeside thugs are sadly just a glimpse in to the desperation of this deprived area.

I do this at work when I fart. I call people over and be like “ you smell popcorn”? They take a huge whiff and start swearing at me 🤣

meanwhile me with an anti-materiel rifle: "hah! i like your funny words magic man!"
I would have loved this encounter to have a Terrifying Presence perk
