Has it been confirmed who is being benched? They could be playing better due to more pressure, not less. Ex: Hallzerk was the second best player on col in the 3 months before signing a contract extension. Not every player can get better by grinding when they need it but I assume all pros that have been around a long time (magisk, snappi, dupreeh) don’t grind as hard as they did when they were 19 except when they’re under pressure. It’s not usually sustainable, like trying to put in the same effort studying for finals year round

its the dead team buff. They’re all desperately fighting to try to save their jobs

  3. From that admittedly small sample size, they’ve beaten every team they should beat and lost to every team they should lose to. One could argue they should have lost to VP but clearly that team also has issues, and the split against 9z could honestly have gone either way so a split seems fair. None of these wins blow me away though, the bar really is just that low for Falcons.

To be honest, they went from losing to top10 teams to winning against non-top10 teams. They might be improving a little, but they certainly are also playing against weaker opposition.

no, it’s because they have MORE pressure as they are all fighting for their jobs

Maybe the opposite, they know one of them is getting cut so they have to play better to save their skin.

  7. Kjaerbye talked about this on his hltv interview. Once you know you are getting fired, you are playing like you have nothing to lose, so no pressure, meaning the game starts to be fun again.
