Yeah. Usb is harder than these. These are almost always marked in a way where its incredibly obvious where things are supposed to line up USB is a 50/50 guess and it still takes me 3 tries. That just breaks physics.

I remember bending pins and being so scared when I was little even though my father isn’t that strict or a violent person lol.

Not as bad of a challenge as when you forget to put the I/O shield in.

When I’m trying to diagnose an issue, I always unplug all USB connections and pop in my trusty no frills 1970’s 20 pound mechanical keyboard and ancient roller ball mouse.
adelinasexy69
I still use my PS/2 mouse.

They weren’t colour coded before 1997.

DB9 gang reporting in. Want to use a mouse? Manually install the driver from floppy first.

Try plugging in a SCART cable blind behind a TV.

There’s a master keyway. How bad can you be?

Apparently, making non-blurred photo is a bigger challenge

I never really had an issue with PS/2, other than not forgetting to plug them in before booting the computer during the transition years to USB.

Where is your io shield

My method was always spin until in. When I was a kid.
JoyousGamer
Easier than a USB. USB it literally will start to go in like 25% of the way. That thing you could just spin in a circle until you got it at the right angle. At least that is how I remember it.

I find them easy to plug blind.

Ahh the old forgot the IO plate but I’m not taking the motherboard out routine.
Lithandrill
What? Just align the flat part with the notch and done. PS2 sucked but not due to plugging it in. (Remember having to restart when you plugged in a new mouse or keyboard…Kids these days don’t remember life before plug and play)
Skelassassin
I don’t remember them being that bad

These were easy. Just rotate until it fits.

I mean aside from the lack of hot plugging, PS/2 kind of is just objectively better than USB for keyboards and mice
