Allegedly, the developer felt bad about the gajillions on dollars he was racking in from both the paid version and the free with ads version and pulled the game.
Don’t know how true the rumor is.

I still have it installed on my iPod touch. Surprisingly enough the leaderboard still works.

The game we all wish we had thought of first. Such a simple concept made millions. Anyone with the barest of coding knowledge could have made it.

How did Nintendo not sue for ripping off Mario? This game was a straight copy of sections of Super Mario World for SNES.

I’ll never understand this game and angry birds. There were so many of these games prior to it but all of a sudden those were the two people latched onto.

True story, when I was around 8 or 9 years old I was a huge fan of Minecraft: Pocket Edition. Played it on my iPod touch all of the time. Didn’t have Java Edition due to me not owning a PC.
One day I was looking at Minecraft related apps in the app store. I liked looking at guide apps and stuff like that. I came across a game named “Minecraft Pocket Edition 2”.
The images depicted in the app store depicted Minecraft PE with a bunch of new blocks and items. The fact that it had the Minecraft PE UI convinced 8 year old me that the game was legit. Despite my parents being skeptical I convinced them to let me buy it.
After spending the $10 I found out that I had in fact been lied to. The game was just a flappy bird clone, but with a Minecraft skin over yet. You played steve and jumped over tree stumps. That was all it was!
I realized later that the images were from a modded version of just the basic Minecraft PE. At the time (2013-ish) you had to jailbreak your IOS device to be able to mod apps… so my dream was out of reach due to my 8-year old brain not being technologically proficient enough to jailbreak.
Needless to say, I have stayed cautious about any potential scam since. Even checking the publisher of the app would have saved my broke ass $10!
