There's literally been cheating in open quals since GO. Even I have a video from like 2017 of pros getting caught in open quals and some of the rampant complaints by players. CS2's issues are sadly nothing new, they just seem worse due to the increase in the playerbase, lack of content to distract the outspoken from turning all discussions into echo chambers, and valve not doing enough to fix problems that have plagued the game over the years.

~ P.S. most of the "real" playerd of that big chunk 100K players are playing in internet cafes. During the pandemic it killed that hype, No one is going to internet cafes anymore.
