David was already gone before fighting smasher but Rebecca’s death hurts. I killed smasher 5 times in a row by reloading save after I watched that scene.

everyone in the game say how adam is strong and danger, is cool how V don’t know him but defeat him alone in “Don’t Fear” ending and say “I beat the adam smasher”

When you think about it its actually crazy how strong / good V is. David had the time slowing implant (i forgot the name) + a ton of other things installed and then that mech suit. He was indeed a cyber-psycho but he was popping off. And still lost to Adam.
V didn’t have all that and was on the verge of death. But they soloed the entire Arasaka building (depends on your choice of ending but pretty much we do all the work anyways) and killed Adam pretty handily. And one can assume Adam has had a lot more upgrades since the Edgerunners timeframe was a thing.
I haven’t played the new DLC yet since i don’t currently have time, so i don’t know what V does and doesn’t do or what they are capable of there. But just in Vanilla alone V is basically just Death incarnate.

Turn out the key to killing Smasher was bisexuality all along

The only thing holding V from being the worst cyberpsycho ever is the relic chip keeps them from experiencing the psychosis
