I wonder what year we will be able to have 1EB drives for personal use

old image, you can get M2 SSD for cheap
BlastMode7
Yeah, but there are some cheap SSD’s that turn into turds once the cache runs out and they end up being considerably slower on transfer speed than a half decent HDD. Granted, transfer speeds are hardly the end all/be all of a drive. The SSD will still have MUCH higher IOPS compared to the HDD.
Which one is faster? Depends on what you’re doing and what drives you’re comparing.

i was transfering videos from two hard drives to a single ssd. both hard drives were reading at max speed and showed 100%

meanwhile the ssd was 20% in use writing
This image must be at least a decade old
(Checks what year it is)
This feels like a personal attack…
That’s why I have a 2TB NVME
That’s a bs.
