I honestly wouldn’t choose either of those cards you listed. The asus has bad coil whine and gigabyte is known for poor build quality in general and also bad customer service.

Gigabyte was at one point a reliable brand. Not so much nowadays. Asus on the other hand is a community favorite. Plus, if you think about it… both cards are going to be running at similar speeds but one of them needs an extra fan to maintain the same performance. So…

There are many rankings showing how various aib cards perform when it comes to cooling and noise levels

Gigabyte has a 4 year warranty. I’ve had 2 EVGA cards fail a week after the 3 year warranty. So there’s that

From looks right away gigabyte seems to be trying to make up for performance and quality by adding some shitty graphic on its box , I have an Asus since evga is no longer making newer cards , I’d still be using my 1070sc if it could keep up with new games .

Easy. The three fans.
Chronos669
None they’re not worth the money

I’ve used both models but for the regular 4070 & they’re both about the same size, both ran quiet & cool. Never ran into any problems with the gigabyte model. I’d say it’s just personal preference at this point in which to choose.

The design on the Gigabyte box is cool. The ASUS logo is really sexy though. Tough choice

My Gigabyte 2080 overheats fairly easily. Idk if Asus has had similar issues but I would go with Asus.

The dual cause i dont have space

The one with a higher multiplier in afterburner.

I’d pick the gigabyte because it has 3 fans.
xTechFusion20x
Gigabyte because of the fans and the lack of Armoury Crate with the ASUS GPU, unless you already have ASUS hardware.

Asus, Gigabytes service is trash and their software isn’t much better. Still salty for THEIR software almost BRICKING MY PC!!! Fucking hate Gigabyte with everything in my body. Asus hands down. At least their products are of good quality.

Any Diablo 2 fans here? Obviously the one called the m’fn WINDFORCE

if you’ve got space in the case, 3 fans are typically better than 2.
id take the 2 fan model cause it easier to fit in cases and if you ever resell would fit in more peoples cases.
its 230watt card doubt you need 3 fans.
I’ll wait for 4070ti super,it comes with 16GB
I’ve never been sorry I bought an Asus… No experience buying gigabyte products though
You’re better off waiting another couple weeks
I’d get an AMD cause F Nvidia stupid prices. Intel would also be considered if the 16gb A770 was readily available near me.
Instead, I am keeping my money in 2024.
I have a wind force 4060ti and the thing dropped the temp in my whole pc.
The 3 fans are chonkey mfkers, would go for the 2 fan as the 3 fan wouldn’t fit in my case.
teh gigabyte one has 3 fans, if ur case has enough space go for it
I got the Asus TUF 4070, mainly bc my mainboard is from Asus aswell. Also the TUF looks dope as hell
Not gigabyte. I’ve had so many failed parts from them and even laptops. Never had another failure from another brand.
Gigabyte because fuck Asus.
Asus, usually built better than Giga. Also Giga sometimes has some weird issue with the fans where one doesn’t even spin and you can’t control it.
Whichever has the better warranty. Everyone talking about performance doesn’t realize it would realistically be a 1-2 fps difference.
gigabyte, more fans
ASUS 1000 percent
Whichever one looks best in my case. Thats literally the only thing that matters.
Asus, because I like Asus.
the asus one because I have a case that just barely fits my current card, don’t want to take any risks, and i think it looks nicer
Msi gaming x trio slim is the best 4070 so the same will be with the super.
