Best undervolt for 14700k to lower heat and power but maintain stability?

This thing instantly thermal throttles in cinebench with a 280mm aio and 8 fans. Looking for a good undervolt to save on heat and power but stability is a must. I don’t mine losing a few percent of performance. I was goons try myself but I figured I’d ask the experts first. Also does my geekbench score look low?

unless you upgraded on an existing LGA1700 platform otherwise no reason to buy this shit CPU, AMD competition is much better

220w is not too much for a 280mm aio, I have a 280mm aio and it cools 250w at 90°c . Undervolt that monster ASAP. I recommend putting the cpu core voltage mode to adaptive+offset ,offset= negative, cpu core voltage offset= 0.050v , cpu core voltage=1.400v, cpu lite load=1 (it’s in advanced cpu configuration). if it’s unstable try lowering down the voltage offset by 0.005v each time(like 0.050v to 0.045v) if it’s stable but still hot,try increasing offset again by 0.005v margin.

Easiest thing would be to set your Vcore to „Adaptive Vcore“ and put in an offset. Start with „-0.075V“ and check your stability. That should directly decrease your temps about 15 degrees C. If it is stable, then increase the offset in 0.010 steps. I have a stable offset of -0.150V with an 13700K. Temps never went above 80.

  4. Check my post history for your answer. I had same issue with 14th gen i9. The solution isn’t to undervolt but rather to properly set your LLC, lite load, AC, and DC so that your cpu is properly reporting its voltage. Cheers.

I got -0.050mV with all core to 5.5Ghz. If i go to -0.100mV i can push all core to 5.6Ghz, pass stress test (prime95, occt, cinebench r23) but crash at some of my game (csgo, poe) at light to medium load. So i settle at -0.05mV, PL1=PL2=270W (360 aio), temp not more than 85C

  7. Does it thermal throttle when you render videos? As you might be just trying to solve an issue that doesn’t exist.
