CS:GO

The crosshair still does not travel in a straight line when A-D A-Ding on a slope. How is it still not fixed? For me its the biggest issue with the game’s movement at the moment.

Off topic, but your steam notification sound had me go nuts lol. I was trying to check who messaged me haha

    On topic, volvo wat doink?

  2. well, movement being different on slopes and in water is an even bigger wtf

Been an issue since wave 1 beta, believe it or not its now better, because before the ending height was basically random. You would jiggle on a stair and your cross hair could be 2x as high as head or like knee high

What causes this? Probably subtick lolol

it’s like your player model ducks a little bit, then recovers ans goes back up when you stop moving. Ive seen another post like this since beta showing it on mirage stairs

  6. good. this is how it should be. actually feels like stairs and not a slope disguised as stairs.

I knew when valve disabled CSGO the game wasn’t ready. They knew we would all go back to playing what works, just like in CSS.

Watching that crosshair draw an oval makes me physically sick dude.

It’s probably the smoothing which shouldn’t be happening at all since for years most CS maps have had smooth clip brushes instead of jagged stairs. It was in CSS and early CSGO until they tweaked it/nerfed the smoothing, still kind of weird we’re back to this issue.

I believe movement being different on flat ground, water and stairs isn’t exactly unexpected or abnormal.

If your stop trying to reproduce CSGO mechanics, it makes total sense to add that to the game, it makes movement much more sensitive and skill based due to the new parameter of surface dependence.

Wasn’t it weird to begin with that your guy was able to walk exactly the same both on concrete, grass, mud, slope, stairs and water ?

Off course your old movement skills that might have been top notch for previous standards now become more a burden than anything with the ton of expected behaviours that are no longer as you’d expect them.

Don’t fight while you are strafing back and forth on stairs then lol. Of all the complaints I see this is the silliest. It’s probably intentional and I don’t see why they would change it.

For some reason, all corrections of stair that CSGO maps has isn’t in CS2. It seems they worked in a earlier version of it or something
