Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) is a Counter-Strike series first-person shooter video game. It modifies the Counter-Strike series’ original gameplay formula slightly. Weapon damage models have been rebalanced in comparison to Counter-Strike: Source. Bullet penetration through some walls, materials, and objects has improved. Among other changes, the Radio Commands for bots and players have been updated. On release, Global Offensive received positive reviews from critics, who praised the game for its gameplay and fidelity to the Counter-Strike series, though some early features and differences between the console and PC versions were criticized. Since its release, it has attracted an estimated 11 million monthly players and remains one of the most popular games on Valve’s Steam platform.
