Hmm water currents and hopefully NPCs? Those will be very welcome additions because the base building genre is typically lacking when it comes to the community feel.

I feel like they can never recapture the magic of the first game, and it honestly looks like they’re not even trying. Instead they’re trying to make it have wider appeal. But in doing so, they’re just going to create another entry in a genre that’s quite saturated at this point.
I want a silent, faceless protagonist. No other characters. No co-op. Throw me into the endless ocean and tell me to figure it out myself. Hardcore, horror fueled survival. Not some cartoon faced teenagers having fun in a science field-trip.
It’s not scary and it doesn’t feel like hardcore survival when there’s another character ready to save your ass with a fucking submarine.

I never got into the first one because the beginning is so slow and direction less that I remember just getting confused and barely making any progress. One day I’ll get into it. In fact I’ll download it right now and try again for the third time lol. I want to like this game.

I’m the kind of person that falls in love with a new game maybe every 5 years. Subnautica instantly became one of my favorite games of all time, so I’m hopeful for this sequel – the teaser looks kickass!

Iâm close to abandoning Below Zero now because I literally have no objective, I donât know how to beat the game! I know I need to scan alien fragments but I donât know where to start.
This never happened on the first one, I always had an objective.

Oh boy cant wait for my Fear of Deep Water to hit me again. Not really scared just have to take a couple deep breaths before diving deeper in Subnautica.
