While i really dislike the general speech and gatekeeping by some linux folks, they have a point.
Windows becomes worse and worse with every update and people complain a lot about it. But that’s also the people that would rather stay on windows 7 until world war 4 than switching to an alternative OS.

I mean if it was not for software compatibility Linux like Ubuntu or Mint or any other mainstream install would easily be ideal since you don’t need to deal with having an MS account, ads in the taskbar/file browser, MS bloatware, etc. and my favorite terrible MS decision; FORCING AUTOMATIC UPDATES even going as far as to abruptly shut your computer down mid work or gaming to force an update

Linux is not better, just different compromise. I don’t believe there is any perfect OS out there, they all have cons. Just depends on what your priorities are compared to others.
