My philosophy is; you want the biggest speakers that will fit!
I have my doubts about those particular speakers being best for near-field listening, but in the world of audio, the only thing that really matters is that it sounds good to you.

They are definitely oversized, but I see that they also do double duty as shelves. They make your setup memorable, especially with those cinema displays. The only reason to change them would be wanting a third monitor or an ultrawide.

No, speakers can never be too big. All you need to do is get some risers and move them up, or you could lay them horizontal (if they allow that)
