It’s such a perfect representation of Reddit. Mass virtue signaling campaign that only hurts ordinary people Reddit doesn’t care, they’ve got all the comments archived and have made 10x whatever money third-party apps brought to them by selling the data to AI companies. In fact, it only helped Reddit, because that info no longer can be found on the regular internet, it’s only the training data for AI.
I remember searching for a hyper specific issue I was having with a phone system, and I found a super helpful forum post and OP replied that they fixed the issue and went into detail with what they did to fix the issue. Then I realized I had made the post a few years prior and just happened to run into the same issue again XD.

Man that protest was one of the dumbest things ever to happen on this site.

If you use basic windows file sharing and computers on your network disappear. Switch the network profile to public restart the computer and then switch the network profile back to private.

I’m new to Reddit, what was this protest?

I hate it when I’m looking for a solution to a problem, there’s only one relevant result on Google, but the only reply to the question is “Just Google it!”
Yes, but SOMEONE has to be the first person to ask the question, and someone else has to be the first person to answer it. Where else do you think answers come from? Google doesn’t have the answer until it indexes a page that has it.
So if someone asks a question and you know the answer, either answer the question of post a link to the answer. “Just Google it!” doesn’t help anyone.
