What was really cool to me was after like a year of playing WOW in 06, I reinstalled this game and played it all the time. It really added to the experience.

Characters who constantly say things like “we are the good guys and we never leave a comrade behind”, characters who say things like “MUAHAHAHAHA!!! I AM THE EVIL BAD GUY! WHAT!? YOU DEFEATED ME!? IMPOSSIBLE! NOOOOOOO!!!!” and sylvanas, who hasnt made any sense for 5 expansions.

I am so sad that reforged got so destroyed by the devs, and knowing that this game will never get a proper remake makes me even sadder.
Just look at Age of Mythology – Retold. Its a proper remake, and shows how it should be done, wish WC3 got the same treatment.

I love this mission too, and the previous one as well, for two reasons.
1. It connects and gives a closer backstory and insight of why Guldan betrayed the Horde just to raise these isles and open the Tomb of Sargeras back in Warcraft 2 ToD. 2. The Shadow Orb is the BEST ORB ever, and I just love the collecting and assembling it, and later to be given to Illidan in the last NE mission.

Blink allowed the devs to be really creative with a lot of the map secrets, half the fun of TFT NE campaign was trying to find them all, and it encouraged scouring every corner of the map!
Sadly you never get to play Maiev for the whole campaign duration. I’d say it’s more forgivable in the middle of a campaign as you can then reach the end and control them at level 10 with full items (like RoC Orc), but playing as Illidan is always a plus.

Russian localisation of Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne are the best ever. I would even dare to say they is better than original. Blizz hired relatively high profile local theatrical or cinema actors and they played so good. Sometimes I rewatch cutscenes on YouTube, just to listen. 🙂 on the other hand I cannot watch some of them in movies, because instead of the cook from local series “Kitchen” I hear Cairn Bloodhoof and Grom.

As someone who played WC3 into the WoW era, I cannot tell you how fucking pumped I was as a kid to see the buildings from WC3 being in WoW and being able to walk around barracks and outpost towers.

They are still doing balance patches for pvp play, and you can enjoy ladder. There are guides out there for beginner builds by Grubby on YouTube. Come play!

RTS just are not fun games for me so no matter how good the story is, if the game play is cancer im not playing it.

I wish they would put this on console like the did age of mythology/ empires. Steam is great but I feel that helped a bit of a return to the RTS imo
