I laughed at the thought of someone else glass exploding, now I must suffer consequences

I'm not even annoyed or mad, it was more like a "Damn…"

  1. Was this after sweeping it up, and what is the blue stuff?

I don’t get how this happens when people admit to seeing posts showing why not to do this. Put the shit on your desk and if you really need it on the floor or kitchen counter to upgrade/build put a damn towel down first.

It looks weirdly artistic. Frame it and put it on your wall.

Was moving a big tempered glass cabinet for my wife at her work and her staff was laughing at me for not putting the door down until someone got blankets to wrap it in.

    This. This is why.

I have two computers with that tempered glass. I’m extremely cautious.

No matter how much you camouflage it as wood… its still tiles!

  8. How does this even happen? Do you just take off the side panel, place it on the floor and it goes boom or what? Does it just shatters by itself?

I snickered at my boss when she said the storm killed her gaming monitor. A week later my son broke my monitor. Karma is a bitch.

Won’t happen to me, none glass here.

Now you have one heck of a puzzle.

  12. Geez Reddit.. this isn’t even the first time today I’ve posted this today…

    From [Corsairs website](https://www.corsair.com/ca/en/explorer/diy-builder/cases/why-did-my-tempered-glass-side-panel-break/?srsltid=AfmBOoqXou8kOQ4NRbPtTjZhdmDXLM1qVUo3fccy2jB1A8r0mJFxXAiX), in your cases manual, and what that sticker is warning you about;

    >**Why did my tempered glass side panel break?**
    >
    >**Beware of tiles and ceramic surfaces**
    >Probably the most common culprit when it comes to a broken tempered glass side panel is coming into contact with a tiled floor or ceramic counter top. If you ever see a post on reddit about a broken side panel, you can often see a ceramic surface lurking suspiciously in the background.
    >
    >This is because ceramic materials are really hard, like way harder than glass, which can be surprising given how brittle they are. In short, tiles and countertops feel pretty smooth, but are have very small, very sharp points. This means that when these small sharp points encounter tempered glass, they can concentrate a lot of pressure into a small area, resulting in the glass shattering.
