Should I overclock my GPU?

Hello everyone,

I have been using this PC for the past two years, and during that time, most issues I have had were related AMD driver timeout, but hopefully, this got fixed with new Windows 11 updates / AMD drivers.

For that reason, I wasn't able to OC anything on my PC, be it memory, CPU or GPU.

I already OCed my memory to EXPO I, and the memory usage is being stable with OBS + Dota 2 on (around 35-40%).

The CPU is stable as well (around 15-30%), so I don't see the reason to OC it too (let me know if I'm wrong).

However, the situation with GPU is different, meaning that the utilization highly varies while playing + streaming (40-75%).

Also, what I noticed regarding FPS that it's dropping at one point for 50 FPS and then goes back after half a second or so. Say the stable FPS is 200, then drops to 150, and goes back to 200 in a half a second. This happens each two seconds, let's say.

That being said, I have a few questions:

  1. How to detect why FPS is dropping like that?
  2. What software should I use to monitor my GPU activity?
  3. Should I overclock my GPU, and if yes, how to do that?

My build:

ROG-STRIX-LC-RX6900XT-T16G-GAMING
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
KINGSTON DIMM DDR5 16GB 5600MT/s
CoolerMaster MWE 850 GOLD V2
