Cyberpunk 2077

This game has ruined gaming for a me (for a while at least)

After finishing the game and getting all the trophies, I feel like I’ve done all I can in Night City.

I spent 155 hours on an unforgettable journey with V and ever since I’ve stopped playing the game, I found no other game to be as fun to play.

If anything, the story about getting second chances in life really hammered down how valuable our time is in this world. I spend more of my days now outside trying to make the most out of my life because any second now, I could be a deadass choom.

Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this amazing game into existence, and thank you CD Projekt Red for ruining gaming for me 😘

You and me both. Had same problem after RDR2 and then CP2077 came out, so…

Few weeks ago I’ve tried this new Vethesda game – Starfield but quickly abandoned it. What a crap this is.

I can’t move on from CP 2077 ever since the first day it came out, I just keep replaying and enjoying my dialogues with Johnny so much ❤️

If you enjoyed the value of life exercises, I highly recommend The Last Of Us series. Part 2 is rich with difficult choices, especially if you let part 1 soak into you.

Yeah love the game as wel, and almost got it platinum for the second time. I am now busy with all the endings, after that dlc, and than hope orion will release asap.

Same here. I did 2 playthroughs.

The next games I played felt like meh.

The only game that clicked for me was MH world and Rise. Not because of the story but the replayability and different possibilities of builds I can make.

2077 will always be on my top 3 of all time.

yes – best game out there … in its category

I currently love The finals as a competitive fps (i’m not very good, but have a lot of fun) satisfactory (or factorio) if you dont know them and if you want slow and steady with great stories bg3 is a thing as well.

But bethesda is quite dead for me, so are probably 99% of triple A shit games. Go fuckyourselfes you greedy corpo swines!

I had the same, haven’t played anything since Cyberpunk

Also for people who like the cyperpunk setting and like top down shooters i highly recomend The Ascent. It is not a super long game, but with allot of action and shooting and a cool story.

You’ll need to swap genres after, because anything similar will always lose the comparison.

Try uh…Baldur’s gate 3, or if you insist on first person, then try Prey by arkane studios.

I feel you. I have done everything in the game, vanilla or mods and I face the same problem I faced with Rdr2. I wish there were some reliable mods that created some kind of radiant quests to immerse yourself fully into the world.

When you finish both games, the map is completely empty and there is nothing more to do. Starfield as bad as it was in front of games like Cyberpunk and Rdr2, does not have this problem, since it has integrated multiple radiant quests with different scenarios and content.

After cyberpunk, I played elden ring and liked it even more!

If you want something like Starfield but better in every aspect, try Star Citizen. Mind you, it has a shitload of its own negatives. A ton of bugs, creators of the game trying to cash grab often and etc. But at the base its a fun game with a great community and frequent updates. And its relatively inexpensive to start playing.

Never understood what this means, how does one good thing prevent you from enjoying other good things? Doesn’t make any sense.

Yeah, I’m at around 800 hours now on my sixth playthrough. The game is still fun and even fresh thanks to mods and the many different approaches to different situations including stealth or guns blazing, time of day, weather, abilities and weapons that can completely change the vibe. I’m even still noticing tiny but cool or impressive little design details I never caught before.

But, now I know what’s around every corner. I know the architecture of the city. If I see a vending machine or trio of Tyger Claws standing around in a video or a still, I know where in the city it is. That sense of awe and exploration is gone for me now, and really the incredible combat, characters and story keep me invested.

On top of it, the game happens to be the most beautiful game I’ve ever played. And I love and appreciate eye candy. Plus, the genre of cyberpunk is one of my favorites.

I really wonder what the next game I can get into is. I’ve got quite a few sitting around, and told myself I’d play Witcher 3 and RDR2 next. Cyberpunk is the first RPG I’ve played and gotten into. I know a lot of people don’t think it’s a very deep one, but as someone who’s never been able to play them I can assure you it’s definitely an RPG lol. Never in my life have I been able to stand inventory management 😂

And the gameplay loop of spending an hour doing something stealthy, spending an hour speaking with characters without any action but often in very emotional scenes, spending an hour just driving around the city while also planning my next upgrades or weapon strategy, then spending an hour in absolutely explosively violent combat, then getting my heart ripped out by a new plot development… I obviously haven’t played every game, but this one gets me like I’m afraid no other one ever will.

If I go back to playing the types of games I was playing before (tightly focused, single-player narratives that are mostly FPS but sometimes TPP as well), I think I won’t feel as free and the gameplay and combat won’t be as varied or satisfying. This game basically has an incredible selection of weapons and weapon types along with with a fantastic magic system. But if I play another RPG, I feel like it’ll feel empty and boring without the cyberpunk atmosphere, dense city with believably sprawling architecture and verticality, physical maneuverability, and yes incredible combat.

    Wish me luck lol

I’m still doing my first play through of this game and love it so much. I haven’t even gotten to act 3 yet and already put in maybe 60 hours with all the side missions. This game is incredible and feel it’ll ruin me for future games to come.

I’ve had the same issue. The game set the standard too high but don’t worry, there are plenty of good games out there that can come close to CP2077.

Personally, I would recommend Metro series and Signalis. Both are my 3rd and 2nd favorite games that also had similar emotional value as Cyberpunk.
