The only people who can afford flagship GPUs are the ones who don’t even look at the price tag. If you are checking the price to see if it fits your budget, you probably shouldn’t buy it. My 2 cents

Price is one thing, but how the fuck are they expecting us to keep wanting more and more power hungry cards? I live in the country with the highest electricity costs in the entirety of Europe and don’t want to have my energy bill continue to bloat just because I upgraded from a 3080 to 5080.
Would much rather prefer performance gain, efficiency gain and lower power. These cards are absolute beasts but they just about need their own power cable to the outlet lol

Nvidia now is AI company before gaming GPU company. they know that AI company, AI content creators, professional gamers, & people with deep pockets will buy the GPU in bulk, so they don’t care about average gamer might not be able to afford it. Which sucks for us.

if 5080 is better than 4090 then no reason to buy 5090, imo. I will be waiting for reviews because I’m done with console shit not being able to change graphics settings and 0 meaningful crossplay. For the price my series x is very good especially since I copped it at about 420-450 bucks, but more and more UE5 games look and run horrendous and it wouldn’t have been an issue if I could play the games I want to play with my friends on pc.
Also DLSS far superior. I am so tired of dogshit fsr image quality and artifacting. It’s especially bad in Cyberpunk 2077 where it should be rendering at 1440p LOWEST and yet all of the fuzzyness and fsr artifacting makes it look like 1080p or below. There is also one bug that they couldn’t bother to fix where sometimes the image breaks apart and has to reconstructed again which looks really bad. On top of that they add FSR 3 with FG (shittier version) only on pc. Like what the fuck. If I could change settings I could make it run at 40 fps at the highest image quality possible while still stable and then FG to 60-70, where it is actually far better than FG-ing from 30. Alas, we are stuck with how devs abandon their games on console.
