    Streaming games with Live Streamers, Content Creators and VTubers also increased in Japan within that time frame too I imagine both helped each other grow.

    Yeah that’s what you call COVID lockdowns. Everyone needed a PC or laptop, plus an increase in popularity of Vtubers.

    Pretty crazy growth.

    Nintendo has always been against open-source emulators of their hardware, but seeing this in their home market might be part of the reason why they’ve stepped up their efforts to take them down…

    Great news this might eventually bring the downfall of nintendo or at least force them to release their games day 1 on pc also.

    When 15 year old Nintendo games still sell at launch MSRP it’s not hard to see why the shift to pc combined with other factors mentioned.
