Multiple new Halo games are in development!
This weekend at the 2024 Halo World Championship, a video was shown off giving us plenty of updates on the franchise! We found out that 343 Industries has abandoned the Slipspace engine that caused plenty of issues during the development of Halo Infinite, and will now be using Unreal Engine 5.
We also got an announcement for a Halo Infinite third person mode, and we found out that 343 Industries is changing their name to Halo Studios as a symbol of Microsoft’s push to expand upon the Halo franchise. To top it all off, there are multiple new Halo games in development!
The last handful of Halo games haven’t been that good, so here’s to hoping that this is a new beginning for the franchise. Halo Infinite was supposed to be this big new start, and was supposed to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X, but neither of those happened. The live service model didn’t work out, and the game was delayed past the launch of the Xbox Series X.
Microsoft needs more killer exclusives for Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, so hopefully this will help boost their lineup!

Now we just have to hope that they can pull their heads out of their asses and put together a good few games. Hell, I'd settle for DECENT games. I personally want an ARMA or Battlefront 2 style game where you play as Marines.
Have Halo go back to its roots. Infinite, while flawed, was a step in the right direction.
The slipstream engine was definitely one of the reasons the Halo infinite did not receive the content updates it should have. Also navigating the menus were painful for the same reason.
Super excited man halos been in a rough spot for TOO LONG 💀
As a long-time fan. Master chief needs to retire. Halo needs new content, or just be done with the title itself.
I want to see more spin-offs like odst and reach. The Chiefs story even after 3
Halo has been slipping since 4
So they’re going to have a chick lead halo, and make it gay. Sounds like a certain South Park episode about Disney.
Im honestly disappointed slipstream had a real chance and it was finally at a usable stage, now we're going to unreal engine…. What a surprise no creativity in game engines anymore…
I fear that the woman in charge will ruin the game.
Don't hold your breath those who say halo died when halo 5 and Infinite came out
Lmfao ue5, such lazy devs.
343 is leaving finally
I haven't been interested in Halo since 3, never could get into anything after that.
