God I have so many hours on those two carts. Well worth $10 imo
ryzouken
If they’re legitimate carts they’re worth about $10 (SMB) and $5 (SMB+DH) at time of writing. To check, you would need to open the cartridge and inspect the board. Prices obtained from Price charting.com
As for whether you keep them, it’s up to you what you do with them. They’re unlikely to appreciate in value substantially as they are missing their boxes and manuals and are fairly common even now. You could probably play them if you have access to hardware that’ll interface with them (either a proper NES or a clone system)

For future value? No, there are too many out there to ever really be worth anything.
Spamton1997_pipis
not for money, but if you like the games then I don’t see why you shouldn’t keep them
richaysambuca
Hey man, I don’t mean to rain on your parade, but you probably could have saved 5 bucks. The cartridge on the right has the one on the left included.
shimmeringdump
Why did you buy them then?
AdvocatingForPain
Nostalgia is the only value they have. There are millions of those floating around.
BigGingerYeti
Yeah worth keeping. Not sure how much they’re worth just the cartridges although probable a fair bit more than $10. Cool find.

Last time I went to a used game store, they were selling these for 99 cents
SilkyBowner
These are not going to increase in price. If anything, they will decrease.
The NES market has peaked

Fun to have at least. I recently found all my old Nintendo cartridges and then bought a new non-nintendo console that can play the games. It has been to play and reminisce. Enjoy!
Hanyabull
Nope.
Both have virtually no current value. If they ever do raise in price, it will be because all NES games rose in price, meaning, just about any other game is a better collector item.
Why? Nintendos came with these games. The are literally the most common games on the system.

Super Mario Bros + Duck Hunt used to be under 25 cents.

Antiques? Fuck, I’m getting old.

Whoever put that price sticker on a label instead of the plastic is a moron
Personal_Peanut145
I hear they might be decent games.

Fun fact: the picture of Mario is the death animation

I mean, they might be worth more in… what, 30-40 years? Who knows. Hmmm… the combo cartridge looks a little different than mine. Or maybe not, it’s buried somewhere in a box around here so I don’t feel like checking lol. Good memories though. If you can grab a box, the cartridge protector (it’s red and black if I remember correctly) and a manual, I guess it might be worth a little more.
Big_Simba
Unfortunately duck hunt doesn’t work with the LED TVs and finding TVs that even take the 3 component input are getting harder to find. ROMs and Nintendo digital store offer these for cheap and are supported on their current gen systems so the market for these just isn’t there. But obviously these are like the two most iconic NES games, so if you like to collect for your own sake they’re good ones to have

If u have to ask, just send to me I’ll pay shipping ..
Awwwgeezerick
Put em up for display! Very cool
platypus_farmer42
I’ve actually never seen the Mario cartridge without duck hunt, so that’s fairly interesting.
lives_in_van
People say they aren’t worth anything, but they’re wrong: give it 25 years and ask again
Citycen01
I have $3.50 and a pack of gum for the one with duck hunt, let me know if you want it.
