Mod it dude. Get a fat 512gb SD card and go to town.
That thing is an emulation monster. And there’s some really awesome ps2 games unofficially ported to the vita like bully and San Andreas.

I just grabbed mine the other day after finishing 13 Sentinels for the same reason. Still canāt believe how Sony messed up that much with it.

Way to find the power cable too. Props

It’s still such a freaking power house.
Boggles the mind why Sony keep making incredible hardware only to let it rot.
Looking at your PSVR1/2, even the current PS5. Optimized engines run so well on the PS5 there’s no need for a midcycle. But since everybody was making it ps4/ps5, all the new half baked titles run like trash on the PS5 prompting for the pro upgrade.

I recently resurrected my Vita and 3DS and bought all the resale shops out since most of the physical games were super cheap. Highly recommend, lots of gems on those systems.

The shutdown of the PSP/Vita/PS3 stores, which were ultimately cancelled for all but the PSP, created a āyou donāt know what youāve got ātil itās goneā situation for all three systems. Public interest and prices skyrocketed, and, combined with pandemic boredom and stimulus checks, caused a lot of people to get into āretroā gaming.
Prices have settled slightly, with some games down to ~$60 from ~$100, but moving forward thereās going to be a higher price floor on most Vita games and consoles. I bought a Vita several years ago and used games were never more than $20, or $40 for the rare ones, and I know Iāll never see those prices again.
Some people mention Switch OLED as having some influence, but Vita interest peaked months before the Switch OLED was announced, and aside from the āVita did it first!ā comments on every Switch OLED thread, interaction and influence between the two are pretty limited.

Since it’s end of life, a lot of people who may have been interested when it was active, but never got around to it are likely feeling FOMO.
Coupled with the general surge of retro collecting that occurred during lockdowns and Sony trying to close the store causing physical prices to shoot up you get a cocktail of general interest because its a now or never scenario.

What is old becomes new again. What was a financial failure becomes a sought after collectible.
Same deal with the Wii U.
