I would choose at least the Samsung, because I’ve found their drives to be reliable.

Cheapest one.

My last pick would be the Samsungs for being overrated (and often expensive compared to identical alternatives).
Crucial would be amongst my top picks for being often competitively priced for what they deliver and being pretty much S-tier in the RAM segment.
But for gaming you should look no further than whatever today’s equivalent to the SN770 is.

Samsung all day long, never had a problem with any of them. Crucial has been mixed results, and end of day, just too many problems to ignore. (Corruptions requiring format, false temps showing -3 in an ambient of 21 Etc.)

990 Pro and P41. T500 has a small SLC cache after the new firmware updates and drops up to around 500-700MB/s after finishing it. Something that neither the Samsung or P41 do after finishing the SLC cache.

If its for free, 990 pro.

Two out of three?
Crucial T500 and Samsung 990 Pro without any hesitation.
I don’t even know Solidigm, but it appears that this SSD doesn’t even have Dram cache and is QLC storage (other ones are TLC, lifespan is a lot longer).
Also, Solidim one has slower read and right speed, but I don’t really care at that point. It’s fast enough for my use case.

I bought the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB for my PS5 Slim at a deal recently and it works great. I already had an additional m.2 heatsink from my gaming PC that I used for it to keep it cool in the PS5. Games installs and load really fast on it.
Highly recommended and known for stable performance. You can’t go wrong with it. I even have the same one as my main primary disk in my gaming PC too.
Samsung all day long! I’ve been using their SSDs for many years and never had a single issue with any of them. Crucial is okay, too. 🙂

I would keep the samsung only, i have 2 of those for my playstations and 2 in my pc and 4 of samungs sata ssds, never has one of them failed me.
Crusial has failed on me multiple times, so i dont trust them anymore.
The other is slower and price difference to the samsung is to small for me to justify trying.

Crucial easily.

Definitely the P41 since it’s as fast as the 990 but more power efficient. Also, the 990 since it doesn’t drop as hard as the Crucial after finishing up the SLC cache. Just make sure the first thing you do after installing the 990 is check for firmware Updates, there was some dumb early firmwares for these that kill the drive within weeks to months.

My 970 I got a few years ago is still going strong, but I want a 990 pro so bad. Black Friday awaits.
