We’ve all been there, but the obvious advice is you can’t watch two things at once. If you’re concerned about mid, commit to walking out of window and put the wall between your back and the B bomb site. Accept the risk of a T walking out of tunnel for the duration of your mid check and peek back in with the awareness that they could be at the tarp box depending on how long you were checking behind you.

Edit: also, your Purple teammate killed the T entering middle, so it was likely to be a mid-B split. You should’ve either tried fighting the B player only, or give up the bombsite to kill the other mid terrorist, but you ended up doing something in between

You’re sitting completely in the open. If you want to defend B you either give it up and retake or you take a position where the T’s have to completely commit to taking unfavorable duel angles: Coffin, back site box, Xbox. Where you have time to let them in but when they do commit to a fight they will be fighting with multiple angles exposed. The smart play for you to have done here is probably suggest someone pick up mid, you need to be aware if your mid guy gets fragged you are 100% locked into a commit under window and you need at least one kill here to stop the push. There’s multiple scenarios that could have played out but you just were a victim of bad positioning and timing.

Similar how dying with a grenade out is on you. I usually hide get the grenade out and peek throw like I would with a gun.

Not much regarding the timing thing but damn that may be the worst way to hold that, if you have to hold mid and B I recommend jump spotting all the way back hugging the wall, then jumping on top of the box and jump spotting mid from jumping towards window and just repeating. You may still get timed but you`ll likely be able to recover and survive for a couple of seconds or take a fair fight.
