Just beat Aliens: Dark Descent and it was a really good game. I didn't hear anything about this game when it came out or since. So just thought I would give it some love.
A fun tactical RTS. Great reference to the movies. Down to the marine jargon.
It has some flaws but overall it is a fun. Every mission feels like an Alien movie as it start with tension building and ending in a fight for survival.
I highly recommend.

Definitely a really awesome game, one of my favorites in the Alien franchise along with Alien: Isolation. My only wish is that there were more stealth options, as trying to avoid the endless onslaughts by having to rely on the silenced sniper rifles would sometimes make it difficult to make progress. I remembered in the later levels getting stuck in a room endlessly sniping stray Xenomorphs just trying to wait for a clearing to appear so that I didn’t cause alerts lol.
I wish we are allow to skip the intro tutorial. Other than that, this game is must play for Aliens fans.
Not sure how this is a “hidden gem”… I thought it was well known and liked by many.
The last 3 big Alien games have been really good: Isolation, this one, and Fireteam Elite in particular I found very fun if you want a traditional shooter that doesn’t have too many things to care about (basically the opposite of something like destiny) other than just upgrading weapons and shooting stuff in the Aliens universe.
Not for me, I just want an Aliens FPS game, not whatever this is!
