Improvement suggestion

Hey,

I built a pc not so long ago and decided to delid my 7600x, i slapped on a thermalright peerless assassin and got that cpu running at 5.3GHz @ 1.31V with 2200FCLK. It can draw upwards of 180W PPT with about 125W core power, running at or just above 90°C, while running prime95 on FMA3 FFT. Anything above 5.3GHz crashes, maybe because of instability, or maybe because of heat. Do you guys think it would be worth buying maybe a Arctic Freezer III, hoping for an improvemet? or should i just keep it as it is?

EDIT: since i only could fit a 240mm AIO in my case, i found this: https://youtu.be/0MTSCvxtijs?si=7-RiRgT6l1-EE1c2

so i might just take my performance boost and not mess with it further.

  1. Better cooling normally gives you more OC potential.

So if you have the money to spare, and the time to spare, and you like overclocking, then why not? This is the overclocking subreddit after all. 😁

direct die? if you arent doing direct die now then i dont really see the point of delidding since its the crappy ihs itself thats hampering heat transfer
