Ask any gamer what their favourite thing to do in video games is and there’s a high chance they’ll list shooting. There’s just something so tangibly satisfying about popping bullets into your enemies in games – it requires skill, it induces flow, it’s intuitive.
There are other elements that underpin shooting’s satisfaction though, and FPS games from militaristic shooters to chaotic run and gunners all display these in their campaigns.
For instance, wonderfully realised settings that are well designed to support the shooting rank highly. Another is a well-paced, engaging story featuring a cast of meaningful characters. Campaigns which include one or more of these elements elicit emotion in players, and that can be just as endearing as the satisfaction shooting alone provides.

To this day, no single-player FPS campaign has left the same impact as the HALO CE campaign left for me (I played it when I was only 10 years old, and have played most of the other games on this list as an adult).
imo Reach is the best halo campaign
So basically there are no more good FPS games in the last 5 years besides Metro Exodus. Sad that the industry abondened this genre. Also shame on Sony for abondoning Resistance and Killzone series. Go make Concord Sony.

World at war not just single player but multiplayer as well was the most rounded of all the call of duty games the best thing the accuracy you pulled the trigger and knew you hit the target before your bullet did not like the crap we get now.

Killzone 2 MP was a new take on game types, the map switching game modes without stopping and reloading new maps. Going from team deathmatch to headquarters to flag battles etc

Halo 2… I have Halo 2 on the original CD and it's one of the worst games I have ever played due to the technical bugs and problems.. Who the hell wrote this list, some twerp that bought the fixed master collection… Also whoever you stole the footage from is a terrible shot. I could write a much better list than this. Thumbs down for this ai crap.
It's kind of sad that we may never see another Killzone game. I wish Guerilla Games would give that franchise some attention again. Even a VR might be OK

How is the original bioshock not on this list 🤯 at the time and probably still the most original and innovative fps ever.
They only listed Halo first (last) because all viewers would be shocked and feel compelled to watch the rest to see what games they could possibly think are better.
