I like the pic because we all know the ending of that story.

They always do eventually. Even blizzard and bungie came over and for years most people thought that would never happen.
Steam is inevitable.

Hope this means we won’t need a Ubisoft account nor Uplay anymore. If so then I hope EA follows suit

No Steam, no buy. That has been and will be my mantra for any and all videogames. The idea of multiple launchers and platforms to spread your library across was always stupid and eventually they all go/ return to Steam anyways. Even Playstation is on Steam now, something that was unthinkable of just a few years ago.

Take me back Steam-san

Wow, that sure was fun the first few times this has been posted in the last hour

Not really.
Ubisoft games bought through Steam still require Uplay and an Ubisoft account to play. When you launch it on Steam, it just launches Uplay, which then launches the game. That means you need to make sure to keep Uplay up to date too, otherwise you might be hit with an update before you can play.

Look at their stock price. It’s as low as it’s ever been for 2.25 USD.

I swear steam fanbois are worst in the world. May the competition in the video game sector live forever.

“I’ll be taking that 30% cut now” – Gaben.
Still gonna need Ubisoft’s launcher.

Cool for people who want everything on steam. I never buy on steam if the game comes from a publisher that already has their own launcher so no big deal for me.

Yeah! Monopolies are just so cool!! Amirite!?! Praise Gaben and all that, yeah?

I’m surprised outta the whole ubi “news” lately that there aren’t more posts about ubi taking away there “season pass” model for single player games. Though forsure that would of been a big talking point/post for karma farmers with how much Reddit hates season passes lol
