I feel like if maybe everyone had 3 lives before being recruited it can maybe balance out the idea of game being over fast because you have more than one try rather than just getting switched right away.

That would honestly be great. But only if you have to either stay on your original team/manage to get back in it or get 10/15 kills in your current team to “switch” teams.
