“In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole and that means comfort.“

I’m using a couch setup too, forgive the mess.
I’ve got chronic pain issues so sitting at a desk for too long has me in agony, I did this so I can sit comfortably for extended periods.
Yup, my rig is set up like my car. Shifter in the same area, same type of seat, same seating position. I like to be comfortable.

mine is not that interesting…its just a chair and a desk because I game on a gaming laptop
sexual_chloe
With a keyboard tray i do not see why not. Concerning the wife issue, she will probably hate it!

You can use a wheel stand and an office chair to do that. After you are done racing you can fold it away and use your normal setup. Instead of triple monitors you can use a vr headset
dirty_isabelle
I use my rig as my main gaming PC.
If I’m not racing, then I don’t have a wheel on the base. I’ll slide the seat back a bit, and recline it more for comfort. Then I use either a controller, or keyboard in lap and mouse on mouse tray.

Yeah I’m sure as hell not spending all this money on a rig just so I can spend more money on a lesser PC to do other things.
daddyssweety
Rig stands beside main PC, connected with a 10m long Displayport and a long USB cable.

My rig is my main desk/PC. I have 3 monitors all on gas arms that I move from regular workstation/pc to sim rig. That way I can get the right height for each situation and I can have triple monitors for both scenarios.
I then have a slightly modified Playseat challenge that I can store away as needed. My keyboard can go Bluetooth mode and I can reach the mouse still on the desk if I lean forward. Ideally I’ll upgrade the rig eventually.
Probably takes me 4-5 minutes to set everything up. It’s not as perfect as a dedicated rig, but if you don’t have the money/space, it’s best of both worlds.

Well I can’t comment pictures so I’ll just tell you
It’s an office chair. I’m sure I can find out what kind if I go searching around it but it’s late right now. The protective bits for the elbows are really far back and that’s my biggest complaint, besides that it’s great.
gamerlara
Yeah I have an Alienware pc so my holds 3 functions, main gaming pc, sim rig pc, and sauna.
