I played a lot of CS:GO but i quit cs2 after only a few weeks, and yes i did try here and there whenever there was a big patch, but the game is just complete trash to me compared to CS:GO..
"The only reason the regular and more experienced players stick around is thanks to third parties in general", TF2 lived with this for years, being abandoned, Valve's matchmaking only taking you to bot lobbies, Community servers were fine, but hosted by a third party, a player who enjoyed the game e.t.c, (thankfully certain bot issues have finally been fixed now)
I love Team fortress more than anything, but i understand it doesn't make as much money as Counter strike, But how?, how do they manage to not stray from the path that they already had another game in, how do they manage to keep a game in a temporary bot hell for 10 years, Fix it slightly and now it's Counter strike's turn to be abandoned,
They don't have an infinite amount of people on deck, that's fine, but you would think they'd literally do ANYTHING to better it when they've seen what happens to their games when left alone with the mess that VAC is

They killed the community server community for this. I used to played AWP/Deagle servers all night and now they are dead.

Speaking from the perspective as someone who was in the cheating community and still checks in, vac 3 has destroyed raging in mm. All major exploits are now detected on any servers that are actively running vac 3 ( it appears that some servers are still running vac 2? Non prime specifically and maybe smaller regions not totally sure) even having an aimbot fov set too high will result in a ban which is good! Massive improvement to removing blatent cheaters, now to fully roll out vac 3, and work on detecting dma cheats and weeding out legit cheaters…. hopefully that comes soon.
Valve is a small indie company and 3 people work at the game plus cleaning lady that is coding after hours. But don't worry, at least there won't be CS3 because Valve doesn't count to 3…

i had over 1000 hours in csgo and i have never understood the hate for cs2. i like how it feels how the movement works and how the shooting feels my friends stoped playing and dont like it meaing i am playing less but i have over 80 games played and have encounterd 1 cheater. i know i am the odd one out here but to me cs2 just feels 10x better
the saying "you can't polish a turd" fits soooo well for this company/game

i used to have 300 fps on csgo now i have 130 on cs2 with drops to 4fps when grenade exploades or molotov is thrown
the biggest issues of csgo was Cheaters, servers, matchmaking, ranking system. Instead of fixing them they fucked up movement (bye bhop), they fucked up shooting, they fucked up servers, AC isnt working, and premier is better but still dogshit, so smokes and graphics aside, what the fuck did they do to fix the biggest issues of csgo? I thought thats why they upgraded to S2… to fix csgos problems…
cs2 is a dead game, although i still play it out of habit i encounter cheater on deathmatch servers all the time. Its a shit show

If a game studio came out with a quality pure co-mpetitor-py, think Valorant but without the heroes, it would end the game overnight.
in my own experience i have more problems with the game itself tha cheater, aparently my region (southamerica) is low in cheaters, i'm currently 16K premier, reach 19999 3 times and only get across 3 or meaby 4 blatant cheaters, that say, the coding gives me the most problems, fail jumps against boxes, stuck, insane peek advantaje, some times i'm dead before the enemy apear in the screen, or dead after i get behind cover premier queueing is insane, i have some screen shot of being 15-16K whit equal teams, agains a made team every body over 20K

I dont even blame the 5 devs that are still working on CS2. Im sure they are doing their best and everything. But the CS2 launch, as you said, was one of the biggest fumbles I've ever seen.
The fact that Valve didnt have entire groups of devs to throw at every single bug is wild to me. They should have had multiple groups of anticheat people work on vac, with overwatch ready to go from the start. They should have had an army of investigators and lawyers ready to be let loose against cheat-devs. Hell, maybe even throw in a few irl hitmen for some spice.
"We'll focus on the core gameplay first" is a valid path for a two man team developing their passion project. When you have one of the biggest PC games in the world, that just doesnt fly. And thats ignoring the fact that they havent even fixed the core gameplay.

Yhe, valve makes too much money with cheaters that they care more ban them in waves, to get money waves, other than ban them live and save actually players… as u say, they have all the data, they just dont doo nothing with that cz they dont want… that is the problem… Also how did valve didnt predict that premier would be the most popular mode? Its not like they release the game with any other mode and at the same time killed every other mode out ther…

I blame the CS community for begging valve for a source 2 counter strike. Csgo was a great game but now we're stuck with this.
There is something about shooting which feels so god damn off. I can't exactly pinpoint what it is, but it lacks the "crispiness" of CSGO in a way. One taps feel much less satisfying, spraying is literally RNG 50% of the time, and the whole game has basically become +W SMG simulator
My real issue with CS2 being built from the groud up is how they forgot about some anti-cheat things they added to CSGO like nospread, causing all these people to be able to bhop around and be 100% accurate with cheats when they fixed that in CSGO around 2015/16…

im in asia and in csgo it used to take me 5 minutes maximum to find a game, now i have to wait 20 minutes to get queued into a eu game. might have to switch to valorant ngl
I find it insane that people praise gabe and valve for being the best game company. But in reality Valve is just like any other company. They don't give a fuck as long as cash flows. Ridiculous.
