Does ICC Max overwrite PL1/2 or is this overshoot without hitting power limit normal? Cinebench only hit limit for max current, not for power even though exceeding the 200w PL by 15w… Before I enabled max current in Bios it would not exceed the power limits (asrock z790 pro rs)

    It’s not uncommon that some loads make the CPU throttle because of IccMAX before they reach the power limits, but in your case it’s strange that the power limits were exceeded. Does that happen consistently and for a longer time or are those just momentary spikes? I think the power can exceed [PL2 for up to 10ms](https://edc.intel.com/content/www/us/en/design/ipla/software-development-platforms/client/platforms/alder-lake-desktop/12th-generation-intel-core-processors-datasheet-volume-1-of-2/001/package-power-control/)
